Biggest problem you will probably have is removing the old inserts that block the oil ways in the block to the head, but not ALL ZVH conversions did this.

Totally depends on what power you are after and do you want a road or track car? Whats your budget?

Dont forget the ZVH can make monster torque.

ZVH's are torque city, mine makes 325ft/lb at less than 1.5bar, and restrictions like a 2.5" and a .48 t34, and specifically mapped very conservatively

Dont need ZT

I agree with Stu as above,

Unless you want true monster fuck off stupid power don't bother.

You will need very deep pockets to get a real improvement on what you have got/can develop.

As the old saying goes, BHP sells engines, Torque makes a fast road car!

Although your gearbox will probably have something to say about that!

Good luck either way fella!

Yep, I cant find a decent gearbox solution, and I aint having no ugly saff

Car is only 267bhp at the mo, but I reckon with the exhaust, turbo and remap, power will be well over 300bhp and over 400ft/lb

Although it probably wont be as no rst box is gonna cope with 400ft/lb

Stu

I am just putting together the final bits for my MTX75 conversion

With a switch over to S1 front suspension set up (welding in a few tubes into the crossmeber) its not all that hard.

I have used a RS2000 box with the same gearbox lincage setup (heated up and bent stabilizer bar) modified (or hacked) rear mount and slight inner wing mods (nothing a good hammer wouldnt sort) and custom driveshafts (although at the mo not equal length) easy to do. I may be able to supply you engine mounts as I got my CNC guy to knock a few out.

Not the answer to all problems but surely a better place to start?

No I think they are totally different!

I think sas had some pics of the mounts he made up for his six speeder on his resto thread. May be worth a look/PM.

Those zvh's do seem to produce some massive torque figures for the power they're puttin out don't they.....only thing i would say is that in a fwd car like an erst massive torque isn't the best way to make it go quickly, better to have an engine that revs instead of massive torque spikes. One well known car in particular that i seen at a thrash with over 300bhp/torque produced slower times than my 1.6 with 245bhp/230 torque, imo due to the massive torque it had and just lit em up through the 1st 3 gears! That was with a proper gearbox too..... Don't get me wrong it looked it had some serious grunt but i couldn't help thinkin it was in the wrong places! Just my opinion tho obviously.
