xr2 wont start
hi all
ive got a 1988 mk2 xr2 running twin 40 carbs.
when i tryed to have it set up i was told the the valves were not sealing propley and to change the cam for a cvh 22.
ive since taken the head off, done the valves and cam put it all back together. now it wont start but turns over really slowly ive got a spark and fuel timing marks all line up but it wont go
any pointers to get this going would be great
many thanks dave

Re check cam timing, check ignition timing is at the right point, check plug leads correct order.
If it is a new engine, sometimes there is not a very good seal between pistons/bores, so a little oil in the bores helps the seal and gets it going, a trick often used on older cars that have been stored for years.tabetha
