I am seriousley considering getting nitrous on my car, mainly to help with the lag from the turbo & cam but also to give it that extra kick Just wondered if anyone else has it fitted, what make of kit is it and most importantly does it work well ? I was thinking of 50bhp jets as apparently you dont notice 25 and I think 100 is pushing it a bit !!

Also, can you get different types of kit ie. wet, dry etc does anyone know what this all means and which kit should be fitted to the erst engine ? its still a 1.6cvh by the way.

I had Nitrous on my S2, heres a pic. I can answer some questions so ask away.

 

What sort of kit was that, ie. wet or dry etc... and what make ?

What power jets were you using and was it noticable ?

Did you get any problems with the engine ?

How long did it take to install and was it easy ?

wouldnt put nos anywhere near a turbo'd CVH!

Wet kit which basically means it puts fuel in with it, Dry doesn't. It's a NOS kit.

50 jets, yes very noticeable made 84 bhp.

No problems ever, so long as correctly setup.

Took a day to install and isn't that complicated.

also, whats that thing fitted on your crossover pipe just above the bolts, on the right

How comes you gained 84bhp of 50bhp jets ? you must have been running some big power through that engine

on turbocharged cars you tend to get more power then you ask for

nosrst who did you get to set the kit up, karl?

 

Hardeep is spot on, due to the decrease in ACTemps you always gain on turbo cars, it was 288bhp with the NOS.

It was set up by PEngineering Hardeep. Before i got wise.
