just picked this up today


not to sure on the rsturbo stickers on the doors

i quite like the look of the twin headlights,1 of the lenses on the n/s is broken


a few spec-r parts and chrome parts aswell

colins boost gauge and supposed to be white dials

oil pressure gauge and volt meter


full leather interior aswell along with the door cards and rear 1/4 trims and its got an arm rest in the rear,got a power graph with it aswell 189bhp at power engineering

 

not sure whether to strip it and put everything into a combi van and have a matching pair with my estate or do the work to it and keep it

 

na the stickers have to come off, not a big fan on the quads either. a matching pair of combi's would be sweet .

 

put it on a combi van mate'it will be & sell the rs shell

im sure some1 will buy the shell cause there's plenty of nacked ones.

 

the only trouble with the shell is its rotting behind the sunroof quite bad so the combi van is looking very good just got to find one cheap after i get back from holiday at the end of february

 

decided im going to put the leather into the estate

the roof would need replacing so cant be bothered with the hassle of that,if i can get a combi van i will be doing efi again the same as my estate,ive got everything here to do the conversion including a superchips 195 chip and beige injectors

 

there was a cheap combi on ebay the other week,think it was about £645 buy it now,& very good condition.if only you ad tha turbo about two weeks ago. you could of had the combi.

 

im going on holiday end of february so cant really look for one till i get back really

should be going to look at a combi today or tomorrow hopefully then if its ok and cheap enough i will buy it beginning of march and make a start swapping everything over from the rst,will be going efi aswell but ofab as ive got everything i need for the conversion,i will just need to drill the block for the cps and need to get an engine coolant temp sensor(the 1 for the ecu) i will also need an mfi to efi adapter plate aswell

 

i had an efi xr3i that i was stripping and had to get it done to make space on my front garden so i could put the erst in its place,my shed is now rammed with all the parts

most of my efi parts for when i hopefully do my combi are in there so should be fun digging them all out

yeh tell me about it should be fun when i need the parts and thats not even got any of the parts from the rst in there yet

 

ok been to look at the combi van and looks quite clean but i can do any work i need to myself,picking it up 2nd week in march when ive got the money together,just got to keep an eye out for a s1 kit now and will soon have twins

when u got both estate/combi built,witch 1 will be sold first as u cant drive both?
or i have a idea for u,

put a tow bar on the combi & use the estate as a mad track day car
that would look so cool

yeh i was surprised that it came about so quick aswell
i paid £1250 for the s2 and its got loads of reciepts with it aswell and im paying £350 for the combi,im hoping to keep the cost of building the combi under £2000

i will probably end up keeping both but using the van as a bit of a load lugger,i dont want to do anything to the estate now as ive just put the leather interior into it and its almost at a point where i dont want to do anything else to it,i did think of using the combi to tow it to shows though and having the 2 of them next to each other
