no car design at coventry mate
more off the sitting on our asses drawing pretty cars with felt tip pens all day side of things

The RS1700t and Porsche 924/944 had front engine/transerve boxes as well - its supposed to aid weight distibution.

yea thats why they have done it, spot on 50/50 apparently, i just never come across it before

So is the engine mounted transversly? I take it no if its got a Tranny box, am not too clued up on this topic, or on cars in generall

no the engine is mounted Longitudinally and is mounted to the box at the back via a alloy case that houses a carbon propshaft.

nice one rude
you can see the front chassis leg, is a 3 stage collapsable member, looks mad when you see it crumple from under the car in a head on crash
dosent even touch the passenger cell

Sounds like it was an interesting lecture
I love the DB9
The company i work for are suppliers to Aston Martin and i've been doing quite a bit of work on parts for that car this year
