Default Apologies to all cosworth owners(jap show at pod)

Sorry in advance if any of you have got m8's with jap cars that were
at santa pod today They will probably give you stick about me and my m8
Had my first go on strip, best time was 14.9 at 102 mph
Missed a gear on all 3 runs, was gutted
Mind you my m8 did'nt get under 15 and hes on greys

We saw you run a few times mate, going by the terminal speeds we thought you both had just stage1 chips

Even on a TOTALY fucked 17.5sec run when i was on greys in ma 3dr i got a 110mph terminal

Id not worry about missing 1st-2nd gearchange mate, that ones a wanker on a T5 box, fit a quickshift n its much better tho

I spoke to the guy with the Magenta Saff and said well done for upholding the Ford Honours He told me that his Clutch Cable was starting to Selt-Distruct Next time i saw his car it was laying sick in front of the Barn at the start of the Strip.I hope i didn,t give it the "Kiss of Death"

Yes mate the box should be fine shifit at any speed!! Its prob worn Syncro mate!! Syncros are cheap as chips too!!!!

I sent my box to Bernie CTS had all the Syncros done etc and full overhaul was Ł250 with box being picked up fro my house and delivered

Was like a new box after well worth changing mate if u find it hard to get into 3rd sometimes especially when reving it!

How on earth did sub 100mph terminals happen, esp when 1 car is on greys n the track was dry?

I got 110mph on a 17.5sec run and i literally wheelspan until 4th gear and till literally halfway up the track

listen peeps it's not easy getting good 1/4 times in a rwd cossie ...simple as that

i heard alot of scobs and evo's were in the high 13's & 14's and they got 4wd so don't feel so bad

personally i go on the 1/4 with my road tyres because i drive the car with the road tyres everyday (even on track)......if i was to put racing tyres on the car just for the 1/4 and i got very good times i would only be lying to myself ...thats why i don't run slicks or any other grippy tyres for the 1/4 mile .. so if i do a high 12' with my normal GD3's i am a happy bunny ...
