Default Tuners and such like i need help

I have an xr2 fitted with a fiest turbo engine running efi,

It has got....

t3 cut down blades saab compressor housing
double lapped valve springs
ported polished head standard cam
escort bottom end lighted balanced (very well) with larger oil return
lightend fly wheel
running xr2 box for better 0-60 times as that is what i am in to
standard injectors 8 psi

166 bhp 154 torque

I want to know what injectors to use and who can get the best out of this car as it is only running a shite 165 bhp super chip so defo need re map and tune up. I would love to hit the 200 mark. Any help would be great.

Thanks peeps

You need different injectors that are very easy to find from another car and a decent way of being able to "map*" or setup the car very good.

So? How are you going to run cossie injectors in a FRST? Unless they are the late escort cos type you wont be able to cos the injectors work on different impedance.

Also when i said about using injectors out of another car i didnt mean a Ford loads of cars use biege injectors you just need to know what ones.

No not at all!

But if you want more power than std the best way to get reliable and matched power from your engine is with a decent management system that can be adjusted to suit the demands at the touch of a few buttons, FRST are not like that! So once you have modded it, put a bigger turbo on it, different injectors etc.. what chip you going to use?????? Just some industry std superchip that was designed for the "everyday" uses we all know aint that good. AND what happens if you have a bigger engine than std??? How the hell does the chip know

Sean, you make it sound like i have something against RST's with KE?
I work with many std RST's that haven't had loads of work done aswell.

Its just my opinion

Jano

Jano_OddKidd,
FRST are not like that!
FORD OFAB & OFAC is just as mappable as weber Jano...... In fact, the maps are bigger with more resolution

701s will be fine up to around 210bhp and then require upgrading.

ST Esc Cos will also be fine but you will need them live mapped unless you happen to know someone who has already mapped the system with those injectors at your engine spec.

The best advice is to take it to a professional.....

(cant make recomendations due to trying very hard to be unbiased )

Just plugging in a chip and changing the injectors is not always the best way.
Live mapping will ALWAYS make the car better, safer and fuel efficient !

Good Luck
