its basically a saff shell which really is mint on the surface and underneath. it has full black leather which is perfect.

loom and ecu
bumpers
boot
exhaust

i want to buy it for a project because i have most of the bits to put it right
but what would you reckon its worth

well sapph's minus engine usually go for about £800-1500 depending on what else is missing/condition as far as ive noticed, so somewhere in the region of that i'd guess at?

 

he wants me to make him an offer. i was thinking somewhere around the £700 mark. but could this be too dear if i get fedup and want to sell it on.

prob worth that if not much more, problem is the guy will think it's worth megga bucks seeing as it sais cosworth on it...or used to now the boot lids missing could sell it for more in parts if you got bored...interior worth about 4-500 good nick i'd say?

 

 

If it's as mint as you say you'll definitely get your money back at £700.

 

 

the thing is the guy knows nothing about cossies as he has mounted a 24v v6 engine in it because he couldnt afford to buy a yb for it.

might offer him £500

then will you be either selling it on or breaking it?

 

i really want to put it back on the road because it is such a good shell it would be a shame to break.

i have everything in the garage to do it apart from loom, exhaust, bonnet, boot.

but i know it will be put to one side till i have spare time. which is not till the new year when my racing season has finished.

does anyone fancy a winter challenge and put it back together for me. (the engine needs building)

kevin sharp weighed one in like this it is worth it's scrap weight

 

no chance kev left any running gear or lights etc on it surely and defoo no leather seats

mine needed a chasis leg and a couple of other small bits of welding but it was on its way out if you ask me,say kev got £100,a friend of ours had a mint(ontop und underneath)k plate that sold for about£250(pretty bare tho).

 

so most things of any value have gone then....as for getting 4-500 quid for saff leather it would have to be concourse

as tim said its worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it...

dovboy and myself know the bloke that sold a mint k plate with boot doors and rear spoiler and lots of other bits left on for about £300

if i was offering it would be weigh in money plus a few quid for interior and diff
