Default Earth wire for Fuel pump?

Hi guys,

Currently ging through my S2 wireing loom, sorting out all the bodges, removeing wires that have been added after etc and im just left with the fuel pump wireing to sort out. Now, i have found the original power wire(Black/red) and sorted this out, but there are no signs at all of the earth wire for it. Now, i know it comes from the pump and into the car but where does it go to after this? Im guessing it bolts down to the bodywork in the front footwell somewhere but where abouts exactly? To save me hassle, is it ok to run a wire from the pump and then just bolt the other end down to the floor underneath near the fuel pump itself?
Hope someone can help me
regards
Danny

Personally mate id use the black/red wire to operate a new relay and bring a new seperate feed and earth to the pump, loads of people have done it on here and somewhere it will tell you what gauge wire to use and relay size. Better to be safe than sorry and its not that hard a thing to do.
