Just bought a 4-2-1 manifold for my orion 1.8 zetec on a K plate and there are no holes for the pipes to go back in to just like on the cast manifold. Can they be removed or moved elsewhere? I have looked in the haynes manual and this only tells me about about removal and refitting. Please somebody help me!!!!!!

 

easy mate, remove they whole lot and scrap it, it was fitted to help pass emmision laws when the car was made but they only work on cold start up and i have removed them on about 8 zetecs now and they work great.

 

What about the pulse-air solenoid valve? You have been a god send as some people i have spoken to have given me absolute b***** or have plainly said send it back but it must work as the company i bought it from have sold hundreds of them but they cannot advise me as they make many manifolds for ll different makes so ford not a speciality only 4-2-1- manifolds are
