i think you may run into problems with that ( the temp sender may " bottom out" on the housing or / and cause a blockage ?? )

maybe think about the blank in the pressure sender block ( under the rear of the inlet side of the block )

its not ideal but it would be a good guide.....

Another option is to drill and tap the SUMP PLUG and put it there, just means you have to take one wire off each oil change but that's no biggy.

I have called SPA they said they can supply a sender for me to use with
my gauge, but they dont supply a sump plug adapter.

So i know the sender is now a 1/8 NPT i just need to know what the standard sump
plug thread size is ??

Any ideas anyone ???

Just buy a TWO new sump plugs* and as Tabs suggests - take it to any engineering shop and ask them to drill and tap it to 1/8 NPT - job done. You will not find an off the shelf adapater as far as I know....

Take the sender though, so they can get the depth right .

*Always have a spare just in case you round of the sump nut getting it off for an oil change.

I drilled an tapped the small block that attaches to the side of the engine block where your oil supply to the turbo comes from.

Standard low pressure warning switch is also there.

I have my SPA oil temp sensor in this block too.

have you seen the size of the spa stuff?

or am i getting mixed up with the temp sender?

mie is in the sump, but the sump has been drilled and tapped for this as i was using the sump plug but the risk of getting the wire snagged was too great

also, the bit you need to unplug isn't at the sender end, it's loads of miles away at the other end of the wire in the gauges that i've got

That's the good thing about the Defi's, you can disconnect the lead a few inches away from the sender .

but you still fuck things up if the wire gets snagged and tears things out
