my mk rst van has a cossy pump and a fuel pum in the tank but the cossy pump is about to give up(very noisy) but im scrapping this van at the end of the year or sooner ive tryed an rst pump on it in the past but it hasnt got the pressure to make the engine run
i have another rst van that just needs an rst fuel pump to run but if i buy a cossy pump will it work ok(no internal pump on this van)
so i was thinking of getting a cossy pump to run both vans
anyone know the psi of the cossy and rst pumps?

 

they arent rated at a pressure.

A cossie pump will work on an rst no problem - the management takes care of the rest

the reg will sort the pressure,
as long as the pump has as much flow @ 60psi or more than a rst pump it will be fine

 

cossie's run a base fuel pressure of 3.5 bar. Rst's run a base pressure of 6 bar. Either pump should run the cars but the cossie pump will have a higher flow rating.

 

thanks guys, ive been ringing round some local ford breakers for an rst pump but had no luck, ill ring again for a cossy one and ill keep an eye open for one on here
