Default SKY HD---Is it worth it ??????

Thinking of getting SKY HD.........but is it worth the £300 for the box and the extra £10 a month....Will be £53 a month with all the channels.

I dont mind the monthly cost but just wondering if the £300 up front for the box is worth it at the minute or do you think it will cme down in price soon???

I want it as there is no point in having a nice HD plasma with out using it to its full potential like most people are doing

no you don't
you just plug in 2 leads for the sky plus
job done
they charge you the extra because you are then useing the same set up as theywould have for multiroom, ie 2 inputs from the lnb, which i htink they have to turn on from some poiunt

for sky+ then yes, as long as you have a 4 point lnb fitted you should be able to run more than one feed from the dish
for hd you need specific stuff from sky to get it to work

i would wait as paying for HD is pointless atm as not much is shown in true HD yet plus then thomson box they give isnt very good either.

theres a new pace HD sky+ box in progress at the moment i saw it the other day being tested at work my mate said it's very good and much better then the thomson one which is out now when it was in the same stage of testing.

as for the other question you cant just plug in a sky+ or hd and expect to get the relevent functionality you must ring sky up and they will send a signal down giving you the function to you sky card!

Cheers,

Hardeep.
