Default exhaust problems

Hi, i was wandering if anybody can help,

my 2wd saff cossie has a 4x4 engine fitted, i.e. 200 block etc. It also has the 4x4 exhaust manifold and turbo arrangement.

The problem i am having is that the 2wd ehaust system doesn't fit properly at the back of the turbo to the downpipe joint, meaning that it leaks. Does anybody know if changing to the 2wd manifold will solvle the problem or is it the flange on the turbo which needs changing? Or is it just a crap fitting exhaust system (i don't think its any of the major brands).

Any help greatly appreciated

The 4x4 exhaust manifold locates the turbo slightly higher than the 2wd manifold. Usually this means that the 2wd downpipe is closer to the front anti roll bar, and may indeed catch, causing annoying vibrations when driving.

Lack of sealing of the downpipe on the turbo suggests that the sliding joints of the exhaust need looking at, or the mounts are letting the exhaust hang badly. Take the exhaust system apart and start fitting it again, starting with bolting the downpipe onto the turbo.
