I would have thought a decent wheel refurber shouldnt have too much of a problem repairing that!

Easy fix I reckon. Did a DIY repair on an old wheel in similar state to yours beating it out with a huge hammer and wooden drift.

For the Cossie though, I'd be taking it to somewhere like Ian Jemmison Engineering - very professional wheel people - if it can be saved, they will save it.

Did a great job on my brothers Magnesium Speedlines, and they'll be doing the same on my Compomotives shortly.

Damn...was going to reply to this earlier, but I couldn't remember the name of the engineering company that will certainly be able to repair that.

Luckily SIB is here..........and he's given you the right person and company.

Ian Jemmison........he repaired similar damage to one of my old rims, and it came back perfect. He'll probably need to fully re-furb the wheel (Paint etc) but the dent is repairable.

Be interesting to see some Before and After Pics when you get it back

Pass on both questions

I'm going to ring him tomorrow about my 17 and 18 inch MOs, as both sets need painting before I sell em - I'll find out and report back on here tomorrow eve.

ill go with martin on that, i would piss about with bent/ repaired wheels on my car, done it before not worth it. Buy a single new wheel and replace it.

whats the repair going to cost £40/50 once repainted, bung another £100ish on that for a new one, which on a fast car like that, its worth the peace of mind

find a 2nd hand one in good nick or buy a new one if available, then repair the bent one when you get a chance and use it as a spare so your mate dont look like a twat if he gets a puncture

Whoops, forgot about this post - right, Ian Jemison prices:

Basic powder coat, tiny bit of TLC (ie not kerbing or buckeled bits!) if needed would be £55 each plus VAT

Postage from him to you is £25 for 4 wheels.

You have to make your own arrangements to get the wheels to him.

He can only quote on wheel repairs if he sees the wheel in the flesh (so no pictures, send him the wheel so he can see it)

Hope that helps.
Si
