Default Engine advice

Am after a bit of advice, currently have an xr3i running an EFi engine but am thinking of an engine conversion, any ideas what engine i could put in it without too much work? also what kind of figure would i be looking at for a fairly decent engine? Not looking to spend a fortune.
Cheers for your time,
joe

youd need the sump pan and the water pump off a 1.6 motor and the ecu of a mk5 xr3i 130
