I did work out the length an size of wire necessary to lift the valve I made....

how did you work out the energy needed to lift your valve?
did you do it force=pressure x area, where pressure would be the differatial pressure across the valve area,,, and of cause area being the valve area?

I cant quite decide if you would have a differential across the valve though....its subject to a vacuum on the plenum side and its that pressure it has to overcome....along with the weight of the valve itself and any return spring (if fitted)....we perfected it with a little trial and error...i reckon it would work, but might be on the top side of the output from the ecu.....
