Default Which laptop???

Looking to buy a new laptop as mine is about fooked, I need something reasonably beefy as I use it for .NET software development and also use Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator. I would like a nice big screen and I am not at all fussed about its size or weight as long as its not the size of a fridge

Any suggestions, places to buy, model to buy, things to look for etc. etc.

ta

Andy

I am a software analyst and i have recently purchased a laptop from

They will build to your spec and are not stupid expensive like alien ware

Im on Vista Ultimate, 17' screen, 2Gb Ram, 100Gb Sata Hard Drive @ 7200, 250Gb Icey External Hard Drive with 1.8 Dual K2 Processor

Runs like a dream .net needs a patch to run on Vista but other than that you should be fine. Ł800 quid. (3Years Support)

The full spec of my machine would be 1700 from comet, currys etc

Give them a look

had a quick look on their site and for a laptop with a 17" screen it appears to be around Ł1200 how did you get that price?

The price will go up when adding better spec parts but you should still get it less then 900
