Default 3 Door Wheel Offset

Hi all. Thought I had this clear but I'm struggling now!!!

Right, I want a nice set of wheel for my black 3 door. Standard wheels look OK but I want something that will fill the arch better. Escort cos wheels would be perfect and they are ET20, right?? Which is what the 3 door needs, or is that an urban myth???!!!

Question is, I've been offered some other rims for not much money. First set are 7 x 17", citroen offset (ET15). Will they fit or is 15mm too little??? Second set are also 7 x 17 with an ET38 offset (sapphire). These will fit but I assume they'll look as "set in" as the standard rims???

I'm really, deeply, confused now so, anyone out there running wheels with these offsets?? What's best??

I think around 35-40ish is about the right offset on a 3dr.

Cossie rims are ET25.

I would think that the peugeot wheels will sit nicely on the back but may catch on the front

Did you need to roll the arches or do they clear?

tbh ive not road tested it properly (only got it running yesturday) but im riding at standard ride height on coil overs so I shouldnt have many probelms with arches catching imo.

lowtina

try this calculator:

http://www.101tires.com./WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

7x17" et15 will fit, but you may have to the arches rolled/trimmed on the front.

hope it helps
