I have wondered this too... Whats the difference between detailing and valeting?

Isnt detailing just a valet with a different name? Or is valet interior, and detailing exterior?

A valet can be done in 2 to 3 hours or so and costs about £50
A detail takes at least 8 hours and costs alot more........
have a look at this

So spend all day 'cleaning' your car and you have detailed it. Great....

*cleaned it.

I'd say a "detail" is when parts are taken off the car and buffed up to an inch of their life!

I don't like them term detailing though, but I love my car to look immaculate.
