what different gear boxs can be used in a s2 rst

cvh escort, cvh fiesta, and cvh orion im pretty sure thats all. im sure someone will say what mk ones you can use ie (mk3 fiesta)

also think only the ERST ones have a LSD in

yes erst gearboxes only have a lsd if you put a 1.4 or 1.6 gearbox in though,it will wheelspin alot more,wount handel as good and you will have shorter ratos and can break

 

And don't listen to the clots that will somewhere along the way tell you a diesel gearbox is tougher

as said above any mk3 or 4 escort cvh box will fit also some mk5 boxes with the same mounting points as a s1 box will fit, with the s1 and mk5 boxes a few bolts need to be moved to mount it to the s2 cradle but its nothing major to do
