Can some one tell me why people are so keen to build rear wheel drive xr2's. I can understand the fun factor but nothing else

how will you get better traction off the line?????? the backend will have no weight involved therefore spin up like a bitch, power to weight ratio????? eh you aint increasing no power or losing any weight , cheap conversion???, i wouldnt consider getting transmission tunnels and rear axles as cheap either , i can certainly understand the fun factor and the ability to put as much power as you want throw the back wheels
