2wd v 4x4 saphs
Right, possibly a dumb question here
BUT a 2wd saph cos does 0-60 in 6.1 secs
A 4x4 Saph cos does 0-60 in 6.6 secs
I would have thought that a 4x4 would have put down power better and equal to each corner as opposed to 2wd.
Or have i read into that wrongly???

4x4 has no more power (to speak of) and as such the extra drag caused by all those extra moving parts waste all that extra grip.
And 5.9 for the 2wd saph depending on where you read! 6.1 was always the time of the whale tale

fuck me unreal ..but i dont use it really ..only for
If you had any idea how shit slow cossies feel when standard youd have most the idea why 2wds are quicker as stock- traction is NOT an issue at standard power.
Secondly, at standard suspension hight 2wd cossies grip pretty well. But soon as you "slam it on kons, bruv" it totally fucks handling and grip.

i think the main advantage is that the 4wd one is better as a general car, the 2wd one is a bit hooligan if you like that sort of thing
besides, no one has mentioned that the 4wd one has gearbox issues that most 2wd cars will get solved with a £500 rebuild, with the 4wd car you need 10 times the money and even then you might be breaking them

4X4's are phat, pukker and give you grip on the twisty bits, and you can power out of certain fuck ups,
2wd's are for boy racer ponces that wanna do doughnuts and go sideways showing off at cruises.
4X4 Cossie is best x far

he'll be seriously crying when i still go past him

For 4X4 think Bicycle with stabilizers!

Whether that's capable of being repeated depends on whether you can drive the cars to the same limits I guess?

Admittedly the latest hot hatches have much better suspension and grip but they are 20 year old cars now

agree with steve, traction is NOT an issue on a standard car.
also on track (dry) you'll rarely have traction issues on all but really tight 2nd gear bends with lowish power, so no real gain from the 4wd.
add some water into the mix, and the 4wd comes into it's own
