I have a focus 1.8lx on a w reg, the engine is really tempramental when idling , its either just about conking out altogether ( never does although really close ) this is when engine is warm . When newly started the revs are sky high, 3000rpm when clutch dipped worst when waiting at a junction. Anyone had this?

 

Comon on a lot of engines. Clean out the Idle Speed Control Vavle as they get clogged up with soot.
