Default Anybody have experience with Audi A3 1.8T Sport?

My A4 is starting to peg out so I'm looking at trading it in and quite fancy an A3 1.8 T Sport. Missus wants a diesel but I'm struggling to find a decent one within budget. We're looking at S to V plate cars with a budget of about £3500-4000.

I love mine and will soon be for in a week or so, i'm not sure if you will get much change from 4k for an 's' reg or later but they are a very class car.

If you drop me a pm with any questions you have i will tell you anything i can.

I got 34mpg over the course of a full tank though. 360miles ish to about £45.

cheers,
Matt.

be carefull of millage if its done 90k plus i would be putting an oil pump on it, they are very common to loose pressure at bout 3500-4000 rpm, if this happens it fucks up the cam chain tensioner for the varible valve timing and they rattle when cold.

any questions pm me and i will try and find out

i work for audi

I was looking to buy one of these over the last couple of weeks. test drove a couple and also test drove a few mk4 golf 1.8turbo gti's. To be perfectly honest I prefered the Golf's! I personally think they look a little bit nicer and although they havent got the Audi badge on the front they are bloody identical to drive! Both have pretty good poke and both handle pretty cack (to be honest a set of uprated springs would make a big difference). I actually bought a Golf last night, 3 door turbo gti on a T plate in Indiglo blue with good miles, fVWsh, recaros, aircon etc etc, lovely condition and it was just a few hundred above your budget!!! Well worth looking at both mate
