I try this today but cannot turn bolt because too much force is used whe ex owner putting injectors in.

edit: few people told me that when you put injectors back in inlet mainfold, you must put some oil on rubber, or on injectors to better get back.

M10 bolt? Try 8mm mate

kurdt5, they will be a cunt to do.

What your meant to do is undo the injector pipes off them all, then undo the 8mm bolts and pull them out.

I can almost guarantee you snap all the retaining brackets though, and they are NA from Ford now

If you're worried they might break then you will have to take the manifold off and remove the injectors attached to the pipes.

Mine came out easy peasy, that might be because they were fitted wrong and were loose

As above, really no need to remove the inlet, just undo the injector pipes, undo the 8mm bolts and Bob's your mothers brother, they just pull out.

The collets must be absoultely round and in good condition when put back otherwise they wont seal well. And make sure they're pushed all the way in and flush with the manifold. One of mine werent and a bracket was subsequently bent and I'm convinced that's why it ran like a bag of shite.

Dragsteer did you do the wd-40 test like I said?

mentalasanything thought you were going to be flashing pictures of your new brackets for a minute

its not essential that the collets are perfectly round, the o-rings are what seals it.

And speaking of which DO YOU WANT THESE COLLETS OR WHAT

im in agreement with you here. My injector isnt fully seated into the hole. the bracket is bent and there is still some yellow plastic sheath outside the hole that the injector sits in.

(Ive got man Flu so didnt notice this earlier )

anyhoo........this injector 2nd from the right or 3rd injector could be 1 of my problems as my 3rd spark plug is the one saturated in fuel and has the miss fire.

i have a spare injector and line, but when i try to undo it the red injector line turns aswell.........so im kinda not sure what to do.

and having man flu...quite bad.....i can only last a while before im zapped and need a 10 min break.

My first ever RS didnt even have the collet so as a result you could near on pull the injector out, but it never caused fuelling issues, only severe lumpy idle because of the air leak.

The reason the pipe turns aswell, is as i said above, the clamp is broken!

And you can't get them from Ford anymore.......

You'll have no option but to remove the inlet i expect!

Inlets are easy man Stop being a big gay bear and crack on

The problem being you need to grip the injector to get the pipe off, and theres not much you can get at with it still located

you havent got to take the inlet off on series 1 take the throttle body off as these dont have spacers like series 2 not enough room with throttle body on
best way to do it is to remove the 8 mm bolt lift the injecter up slowly and then spray loads of wd40 on the injecter and collect push the collect down and then you will have a 12 or 13 mm ? nut on the injecter hold this while you undo the fuel pipe best way to do it without taking the inlet off
