Default rs turbo wont turn off? help

Hi i got a erst s2 with a efi conversion using frst ofac ecu and ive been following this diagram taken from this site

i took the ignition live from a yellow wire inside the car where the radio plugs in.

So then i started the car and all was fine until i turned the key to the off position and pulled the key out and it didnt turn off and i got scared . I had to stall the car to turn it off. what did i do wrong?

this yellow wire, are you sure it was a ignition live that you joined it too and not a constant 12v feed?

ive followed this diagram and had no problems so i know this does work

Hi safechav

im using a frst injection relay and fuel pump relay. I got the ignition live bit wrong in the diagram. So causing the car not being able to switch off.

but hopefully il get this sorted 2moro with a ignition live wire from the purple fuel pump relay with a inline fuse aswell just incase to be safe.

You'd be better off taking the ignition feed from the switch wiring itself, its a lot thicker than the one on the fuel pump wiring.

What sort of current are you pulling through it??

Baring mind the tachometric relay that once lived there will only pull millamps

If you look at the diagram the switched ignition feed originates from the switch itself!

Fair enough if yours is ok, wouldn't risk meltdown myself though

safe chav
you got me worried doing the fuel pump relay way now but in the diagram it doesnt run a fuse so i guess a wire from ignition switch is fine and i wont risk anything is this correct?

you want to connect that directly to the ignition wires IMO, or use the redunadant wires in the loom from the old management.

i wouldn't worry about a fuse, all the main ignition feeds are unfused, but it won't do any harm if you want to play it safe
