Insulating 500 cooler from ally rad?
As someone pointed out to me last week my 60mm ally rad is fitted tight up to my 500 cooler! Obviously this can't be a good thing as the heat from the rad will transfer straight into the cooler especialy being alloy!!
What is the best way for seperating the 2 so that they are not touching?
Cheers Spadge....

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Spadge,
On your setup is there room to physically move the IC forward? If so maybe you could have the mouting brackets modified.
You should only need a few mill clearance for it to be ok.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I have often wondered would painting the intercooler + rad black (as done as standard) help stop the heat transfering so easily with these alloy finished intercoolers / rads?

Dunno Wes but i kind of like them this colour
Anyway you can tell me i'm daft but i was tyhinking of seperating the 2 a little and using some sort of rubber or foam like draught insulating stuff in between the 2 to keep them from touching each other

I would have thought you'd have wanted them as close together as possible to allow maximum airflow through both.
If you leave a big gap between the cooler and rad, then surely you will create an air pocket, and restrict air flow.
