in engine bay
undo all electric connectors
now teh hard part is trying to undo the teh brake pipes because of where they are
id get a brake spanner in 11m and 13mm sizes as this will help
undo teh brake pipes
just watch out for brake fluid spillages etc and make sure you clean itoff quickly
undoin the mounting nuts is easy
take your lower half dash panel out and you will see teh pedal bix
take clip off middle of brake pedal
undo the 4 main nuts around the pedal as these are for the pump
then just pull teh pump away
obviuosly you will need to remove things like heatshields etc

Hi Smit,
As you may remember I have had brake problems.
If it is the electric pump only that needs to be changed its not to bad.
(Although at present I havnt got round to refitting it!)
The brake system is in 2 parts. Part one is fitted to the car, Part two is has the motor & accumulator on it. From memory there is just on bolt that holds the two parts together + you will need to disconect the brake pipes for that part. (one pipe has a R clip to remove, then wiggle the pipe out)
Once apart the motor is held in place by 2 bolts.
As far as I remember thats it.
Good Luck.

If Smit is only changing them motor is there an easy way to empty the accumulator, uther than driving it with out the plug in the motor?

just looking through the workshop maunal and i carnt see where it says on how to depressure the system
alls it says is
apply foot brake at least 20 times or until the pedal becomes hard to de- pressurise the system
so if thats the way then thats how to do it but im not convienced lol

before you swap, make sure the replacement pump you are putting in is the same as the one you are taking off, the 4wd stuff is different from the 2wd stuff, and the cossie stuff can be different again in regards to the placement of the pipework and the resivour
best to drain the brake fluid first from the calipers with gravity
at least you won't get it all over the engine bay, that stuff is a bit nasty
while this is happeneing, remove the drivers seat, it makes life much easier
then, as mentioned, unplug the clips, some are more difficult than others as they aren't clipped on as normal, undo the brake pipes from the bottom of the unit but rememebr to mark up which pipe goes where
then get in underneath the dash and remove the 4 bolts, andthe pin from the pedal, but make sure that the unit doesn't drop off into the engine bay
if you need to undo the pedal box remember there is another bolt at the top holding it in place
