Default wasted spark help

Fitted wasted spark driver into my redtop L8 ECU, modified my rev counter, but the rev counter doesn't work, i've bought a stack rev counter and that too reads zero. Everything else works fine. I've checked contiunuity between the ecu pins and the driver board to eliminate the possibilty of dry joints.
It is wired as follows

26 (cut) - Blue
25 (cut) - Purple
24 - Brown
21 (cut) - Grey
20 - Orange

Any Ideas ?

Have you removed the surpressor that is on the green wire in the engine bay, and then connected the wire ends together?

(IE - green wire to surpressor then to green wire, remove surpressor so you have green wire to green wire)

This surpressor can be found where the coil used to be

PS - you should have no need to be touching the wiring to the driver board in the ecu itself - this is all done in house at MSD when it is fitted

You have P25 and P26 transposed.....

Blue= P25

Purple= P26

And if you have an iss 1 board,there is a mod for the revcounter...

fitted board into ecu myself, i was confused about pin 25 and 26 the instuctions said

Blue= P26

Purple= P25

but the photos of what it should look like showed

Blue= P25

Purple= P26

so i followed the text, also i've eliminated that being the problem as pins 25 and 26 are described as

P26 = Coil (1+4)
P25 = Coil (2+3)

therefore jumbling these two would make it not run it describes pin 21 (grey) as the tacho output.

I only bought it a couple of weeks ago, but it is a version one (what difference is V2?)

I've modded the tacho, and bought an aftermarket one, still no joy.

HOWEVER

When i removed the suppressor on the green wire to the coil i didn't connect it back together (didn't think they'd be needed) So i'll undo all the loom tape and untidy the loom and try that, sounds like the probable cause

Sorry Fella, replied at teh same time as you.
The 25 & 26 picture is now fixed, and i will add a line clarifying that teh greens need reconnecting.

That green is the tach wire from 21 to your teach head.

feel a bit silly now, even considered setting the tacho to 2cyl and chopping the loom and driving the tacho off one of the coils, couldn't bring myself to do it.

aah, hence the "tacho is now driven off the ecu, not the coil" and the strange way to route a wire from the ecu to the dash?

that has made it clear now
