2 ways.
I sell oil t piece to plumb gauge and oil light
I sell oil filter adapter block so you can use upto 3 gauges (oil pressure, oil temp and oil switch).
I have the latter one on the shelf, but the first one I have run out of.
As long as Autometer gauge is 1/8 npt thread.

You're right about losing the oil pressure light unless you get an adaptor.
The problem you will have on a 4x4 is that space is very tight - most adaptors will foul the oil filter, although I think Mike R has a new adaptor that gets round this...
The alternative is to fit a sandwich plate - a plate that goes between the filter elbow and the filter itself with take-offs for the senders. You could then fit a temperature gauge if you liked. Raid HP do them for reasonable cash - I bought one but have never fitted it. If they don't have stock I could be tempted to part with it
Removing the starter motor makes access to that area MUCH easier
Neil.

imagine getting a oil leak which slowly is draining the engine for oil, so pressure is dropping, and when you see the oil lamp you kill the engine, and you probably have some hard wear on your engine.
But imagine if you dont have this light and you keep revving the engine at 7000 around the track, and the pressure keeps dropping below 0.3 and what happens then?
hole in your block and broken rods+++++
