Has any one had the focus rs conversion in there focus.
would be helpful if you could tell me how much this cost you and any companys that carry out the conversion and also what its like with traction
Thanks
Thanks
i have/are doing it in my car at the moment
to be honest mate if your starting with a 1.8/2.0 zetec the conversion is straight forward. you just tneed to make sure you have ALL the parts before you start .
for all the parts your looking at between Ł1500/Ł2500
and then plus any labour etc

it shouldnt make much difference to behonest but things like engine mounts etc will be different
it depends what route you wanna take as to what parts you need.
if your going to retain the standrd width i would suggest you look for the following...
rs focus, loom, ecu, key, engine, gearbox, manifolds, throttle cable, chargecooler, all the charge cooler parts, turbo, downpipe,
then you need to uprate the brakes and if your going to run standard width i'd suggest you run st170 shafts
if i think of anything else ill add it

You need to either get in touch with zetec turbo god Ian Howell at Area Six. He'll do the conversion for you, using only the best parts. Don't bother with Power Engineering!
Well that ain't really hard, I could list the parts now...
Forged pistons,
uprated rods,
ported head,
uprated cams,
custom inlet manifold,
Exhaust manifold,
turbo,
aftermarket ECU
Of course, a lot of these parts aren't needed, but are required to get the best out of the whole setup.
Just phone up Ian Howell for a quote on all parts and the work envolved, you won't find anyone better to turbo a black top
