Ford Diagnostic sockets (where you plug in fault readers)
mine appears to be dead, probably not connected up at the ECU side...
does anyone know if the pinouts for these are std across the EECIV range? if so what are they, as i need to get mine working.
if not does anyone have the AUTODATA cd handy? as that has them on there for the 24v engine (i remember seeing them)

ginge, ive got the right one... and i know it works...
but my diagnostic socket is dead, so im plugging it into a dead circuit...
i need to trace it back in the loom and connect it up OR get another connector n wire it in near the ECU multiplug. gotta sort out some wiring down there anyway, some of its got crappy crimps on it, so wanna replace with soldered+Heatshrinked joins

bernie, im using autodata2004 and it doesnt have the ECU pinouts for the 24v granny!
ps the mk3 granny and the bugeyed scorpio have different ECUs
(and engines)
mine's an engine from a mk3 granny

however now i gotta work out which pin goes to which on the actual plug (there are 3 of em!) and where the 3rd pin goes to... lol
i assume the output goes to pin1 (the LED pin)
and i'd take a guess at saying the other pin needs to be given either a +12v or +0v to activate the diagnostics...
so the 3rd pin must go straight to a +12v or +0v not via the ECU?
make sense?

by the way bernie, i just checked and you were looking at the later model... which is EECV not EECIV.
