Funny that,
Mine also went between 3 and 4 at the Daddy thrash!

I was pulling 7000rpm in top when it let go. it also blew into the oil way so dumped loads oil around the engine bay. Running 8.8:1 CR and 25psi boost.

Before I had to fit the Felpro I was running with a copper head gasket and sealing rings from Ferriday, that coped with 2bar+, however it had been reused 5 times so thought I better retire it.

Simon.

so do you rate the copper head gasket? i have to see ferriday about another de-comp plate but even that when between three and four, going through the gears i do hit the rev limiter with nitrous which is a big no no so i probably Contributed to the failure

You have to find the limit? dont you.

I do rate the copper head gasket but I have only used it in conjunction with 8 of his sealing rings (they are 3thou thick and get placed above and below the head gasket), this was to facilitate 2.5bar of boost with Nos!
I am going to get another when I rebuild.
I have/had the 1.2mm thick one but he does thicker.

muilt layer is the way to go but its just much easier for me to skim my head and then just mail order the gasket and de-comp plate.

yeah but how strong are these gaskets at the daddy thrash my boost was as high as 31psi at times, how much pressure can these gaskets handle, people have problems with the cometic gaskets which look to be made out of the same Material
