Default gaskets

got some oil leaks so gonna give the engine a refresh along with a new turbo, zorst and fit my piper cam kit.
what gaskets would you reccomend? was thinking of just going for some ebay jobs for sump gasket and any other little ones i fancy replacing.
already got a T3 gasket set so got my turbo gaskets and bolts. will probly stick cam seals in it aswell and already got my top hat valve stem oil seals.
was thinking about buying a cheap top end set aswell minus headgasket to give that a refresh aswell.

anyone had any bad experiences with these cheaper gaskets? i've used them on other cars and found them to be ok but not on an RS

cheers chris

There is NO WAY I would cut corners on RST gaskets. Especially not the sump! They are such a bastard to change, I would want as much of a guarantee as possible that it wasn't going to need doing again!

if i was going to fit a new headgasket, which i still might, i would get a ford item but would think the quality of ford gaskets is similar to patern ones as long as theyre to o.e standards.

doing it on a bit of a tight budget really, planned to take car off road for a few months and do it but cant afford another car to use so will have to take it off for a few weeks while i'm off work so doing it on a tight budget really which is why headgasket isnt getting done at the same time.

one thing i will invest in is a rubber rocker cover gasket as i've fitted 2 cork ones now and they still leak. not at the same time btw
