as planning on going T3 on my xr2tt,

so was gonna buy a used 2.5" stainless aftermarket RST zorst and downpipe, and modifie it to fit.


But what makes the best for BHP, and the least noise?


Magnex, Mongoose, Scorpian, any others??

goose makes the most noise in 2.5" form,the 3" bore is very quite though.
out of the 2.5" exhausts magnex is the quitest imo

 

Agree'd with Jambo

Scorpion is the loudest but not the best for BHP (although cant comment on the 'new model')

ive just sold my 2.5 magnex to buy a 3" thru mongoose with 4" roll tipped out tail pipe as my mate had one on his series 2 & it sounded allot better than the magnex i thaught


have i done wrong?

i got magnex system just came off mine as i got a mongoose 3" with 4"out rolled back box sounds well lush. yeah if you want it make a offer otherwise i'm just gonna keep it unless in the very unlikely hood i will sell the car

 

Do magnex still use that silly flexible bit at the front that they don't cover under the warrenty?

well, mongoose only sold a 2.5" bore with a variety of taipipe sizes but all ROLLED OUT

their 3"bore system was ONLY sold with a 4" rolled IN tailpipe

2.5 magnex with 4 inc tail, if u want big power 3 inc of some description straight through.

 

Hmm, it shows a rolled in tip, but states either rolled in or out, but as far as im aware (unless things have changed) the 3" bore only comes in rolled in style.

i'll be going for a magnex, cos it seems they are best for noise and good for power,
aswell as had one on my xr2tt for years with out any issue's, and thats made 200+ bhp on 3 sets of rolling roads and thats on its 2" bore.

 

2.5 goose with 3.0 tail have it on mine its very quiet

 

3" is too big for i need,

as 2.5" is fine for 350 - 400 bhp.

and i've seen 200 bhp on my 2" magnex xr2 zorst.

 

i have magnex with the flexi hose at the front it is well quiet i am getting the goose.

 

magnex/ goose. just not a scorpion imo

 

There was a test in a FastFord in the 90's

They put the car on the rollers with 6 different exhaust systems. I just can't find the issue!

 

I use a magnex system with front flexi & a mongoose back box!!

 

that sounds good. i no the flexi pipe is a good thing i have a goopse an the exhaust rattles againts the bottiom gear selector

 

mines got a mongoose 2.5 inch bore and i don't think it's all that load but i've been told you can hear it coming from quite a way off. sounds ace though so not ever gonna try another make
