Hey Rod,

what sort of time does your car hit 180mph in mate? On the previous engine that is.

Cheers,

I doubt Rod will be on again now till tonight (he tends to only use the net briefly on his lunchbreak at work)

Its 17.something seconds though IIRC
And it takes approx 0.5 miles to achieve from a standing start

The figures look very impressive. Its only when you are in the car that you can truely comprehend what them figures actually mean in terms of acceleration and brtue force. Its savage

Having experienced Rods car with Mark driving i can tell you it cant be imagined. Watching the digital readout of the stack dash is incredible. The numbers go up so quickly. Acceleration is immense

Pah, a 600cc bike will be very similar to that.

Much more impressive is the in-gear high speed times

It dont

0-100 7.5
0-150 17.3
Mines almost at 180 by then, if you want to go faster you will need a Veyron.

Ones that tore themselves to bits from memory? Ie. It would've gone even faster!

Those times were also recorded in a snaking fashion too

A VERY fast car, as Marks little demo showed

Simon170 – Si, the easier option would have been to ask me, as the times are on the lap top thats currently sitting under my desk

Looking at the time per 10mph, looks like he changed gear at around 110-120mph then hit the gas, is that right rod?
If so, i guess thats going into 4th?

On topspeed runs use gas in 4th & 5th only. For some of the accleration times it was used in 3rd. We have traction in 2nd but its a bit hairy & not worth it. The tyres were 235/45/17 Dunlop DO1J's as I use on the road.
Drove there on them & back home although they had to be replaced soon after .

Didn't you use BFG's once, how did they get on?

Do you weigh your nitrous bottle before and after a run,if so how many

pounds of gas do you use?

BFG's Yes just once they were 15" ones & they were ripped to Shreds in a single Launch. Changed the gearing too much & they simply could not cope.
Want to buy 2off 15" MO's that have done only one run.

We have a Timer that tells how many seconds Nitrous is being injected. Test Days have told us when to change the bottle.

No will not be doing anymore attempts on 15" my big rear brakes are going back on. Mark will attempt a standing mile & try to do 200mph otherwise the standing start times are good enough, expect them only to improve from 160mph on. Not interested in the Qtr, Wrong car , Wrong set-up, unless we run a 10 in the standing mile but thats not likely.
