yeah. no mod's have to be made to the car. there is even a mount kit to fit a zetec.... same ka box can be used, d shafts ect ect.....

but a rwd street would be cool. i think the car would twist thought, no roof ect.

These extreme builds are made for marketing and adveretising reasons. There is no way you can drive or seriously have motoring fun from such ill minded cars. Far below the word "extreme", my Ka previously had some ~129 hp @ wheels with the tweaked N/A 1.6 Zetec-S; it surely went fast if u pushed it hard, but it was a pain below 4-5k rpms, horrible mpg and relaiblity. Felt retarded when taking curves, either too weak or too powerful, so the good handling aspects of the car was beaten by oversteer. It was much much better when the Zetec-S engine was factory specced.

The best transplant on a car is the one that doesn't ruin the everyday fun, and still goes strong.

Of course, that's my opinion, who has ruined two fun-to-drive cars, a Pug 106GTI and a Ford Ka, just by taking both over 150 hp threshold. Can't emagine having 200+ on them. That's sick

DJM will build you a Ka Cosworth for Ł70,000, but that's including chassis strengthening, spaceframing and stuff like that - basically a replica of their own race cars. I tried contacting Dave ( owner ) about fitting the engine and runing gear into a Ka for me, but I got one email back from him before he stopped replying!

I've been thinking of building a Ka Cosworth for quite some time now, I have everything specced and detailed ready to go, it's just finding the fund's to do it, but I sure as hell wouldn't pay Ł70,000 for someone else to do it, I'd rather try it myself with my mates for a fraction of said cost.

id love to see a ka doing a donut

using a cosie floor pan would mean the car would have to be as wide as a cosie. if you look where your zorst goes on you ka you will find its right down the center of your ka, and a prop shaft would fit down it . modifying a cossie rear beam to fit wouldnt be to hard. mounting the engine is though.... nothings very strong to weld on to. bulk head and clearance for the gearbox would be tricky too.
