would have thought metal pipe would be better than silicon hoses as they wont crush at any realistic boost pressure and will have smoothyer internal surfaces.i think.

if you use a more solid hose you will lose no pressure ! if the hoses are soft they can expand and use pressure .
i had all polished alloy ones made for my renault 5 turbo , i didnt really notice any difference but i never split another hose after having them made !!!
im using samcos on my 2wd and i personally think they will be fine .

they are about 3/4 of an inch wide , and instead of having a little screw to tighten them , they have a half inch bolt that goes thru a bar on the other side , which works basicly the same as a jubilee but a hell of a lot tighter .

rs500 hoses and normal jubilee clips worked fine for me, never lost a hose ever and was running well over 35psi

Phil,i tried a RS500 throttle body side hose and at 34psi kept blowing it off until i used proper clips..but that caused it to split around the dump valve take off No probs with the samcos

saying that my throttle-body side hose is just like an rs500 but has a smooth finish and a part number stamped into it!? whereas my compressor side is a normal cloth texture finish!

very odd!

mines using ford jubilee clips and they actually seem very strong, but now everythings out its all going to have proper bling clips when rebuilt!
