Default ANY ONE HAVE COILPACKS FITTED TO THEIR COSWORTH .QUESTION

JUST ABOUT TO FIT COILPACK CONVERSION TO MY 3DR.
COUPLE OF QUESTIONS.
DID YOU HAVE TO DO AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE REV COUNTER AS IVE HEARD THAT IT WILL NOT WORK UNTIL IT IS DONE[WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE].
ALSOWHAT HAPPENS TO THE LEADS THAT ATTACH TO THE COIL[NOT THE COIL LEAD]DO YOU JUST TAPE THEM UP.
IF YOU HAVE DONE THIS CONVERSION OR HAVE IT ON YOUR CAR PLEASE HELP.IM GETTING IT ON WED.CHEERS MARK

Is it a SECS-designed board from MSD ? If so, then if it's a recent one, then the board will have been slightly modified to improve the rev counter output. If it is an early board, then a small mod is required to the board in the ECU (a wire needs to be cut and soldered to a transistor leg). You can either do this yourself, or send the ECU to MSD for modification.

Whichever SECS/MSD board it is, there is a mod required to the back of the rev counter.

There was a post in General Discussion about this by Stu@MSD about 2 months ago.

If the coilpack conversion is being done by fitting a suitably modifed P8 ECU or a different management system, then all of the above info doesn't apply.

With regards the original coil wiring, yes just tape the wires up.

Default REV COUNTER

YES THE BOARD WILL BE FROM MOTORSPORT DEVELOPMENTS.
ITS TO GO INTO MY LEVEL 6 ECU.
SO ARE YOU SAYING THAT IF ITS A NEW STYLE BOARD WHICH I THINK IT WILL BE THERE WILL STILL BE AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE BACK OF THE REV COUNTER TO BE DONE BY ME.IF THERE IS HOW INVOLVED IS IT.CHEERS MARK
