the fuel gauge in my saph is a lying fooker !!!

 

Mine is like a wife take as much as i have in me pocket and more !!!!

 

havent done that yet

 

Lose that std grill and stick a Mk2 Cooper on there!

Std fuel guage is not too accurate, especially if the voltage regulator on the back of the clocks is playing up.

i worked out the MPG on my discovery today around town 12.9MPG Thats why it uses Ł70 a wk

its so embarssasing when that happens and a long walk to the fuel garage
to get fuel

 

Ran out of fuel in the Senator last week, on my DRIVEWAY

I drove about 40miles with the fuel gauge on the digi dash showing zero, and got home fine.

Next day i started it, it moved 2foot, and died How lucky was I to even get home!

I went in the shed to find a fuel can, and found one id not used for well over a year, and it had fuel in it 1yr+ old fuel

I put it in anyhow and it worked

Then about 20miles later the head gasket blew

Wonder if it was related?
