anyone know about ipods??

im trying to get my girls shuffle to work but my pc wont recognise it . Ive tried everything.....reset it,re-installed software but comes up with a message saying"USB device not recognised". Anyone got any ideas or had this themselves.
also says there is no drivers for this device!!!!!!!!!

IIRC my Shuffle came with a CD with the drivers on, I downloaded ITunes and ran the CD Rom, plugged the shuffle into the USB and job done.

i got the missus a shuffle for her bday and the fucker wouldnt work.
exchanged it for a new one and it was faulty too
gonna try no.3 in a while and it better fookin happen

If you've got iTunes installed OK, then try the following link to rest the unit and put it into disk mode, then you can run the ipod updater and restore the unit to factory default, this may help.

Select your OS and device and then follow the instructions. I've just had to do this with my 3rd Gen and managed to get it working again.
Note, if you have iTunes 7, you use this for updating rather than the separate iPod updater utility.
