Default How much boost are you running?

I send this question out to everyone.

How much boost are you or have you ran in your engines CVH or ZVH.
And what spec of head gasket and headbolts have you used.

I ask because currently I am having problems holding in 33psi.
So looking for peoples experiance on the subject.

Cheers,
Simon.

33psi is big boys' boost and I've only tried ~2bar boost a few times because of std. C/R. Standard gasket/bolts had no problems, but I haven't done any track days etc. with such boost.

Previus engine spec was 8.2:1 on std gasket and bolts with 29psi also no problems.

But upped the CR to 8.8:1 done more work to head and upped boost, it has blowen and deformed all 4 sealing rings.

Looks like I now need a copper head gasket and a wire rung block.

Long time no speak, seems we are both heading in the same direction!

Thats on a std gasket and bolts?

I do have an external waistegate spare however I have not inspected or rebuilt it yet, so I think you would be better off getting a new one, at least you know it would work and not let you down.

It has not been on the rollers since I built the new engine.
I can say that I remember what it felt like with 340bhp on the old engine and the new one feels so so much faster.
On my datalogger(Gotech) it takes 3 secs to run through 3rd gear.
