i am soon to be changing my pick up to fuel injection, what exactly to i have to do i want to keep the original petrol tank?

been told i need to run a swirl pot or something...

if anyone can help me out that would be cool

Injected cars do run an internal fuel swirl pot to help prevent fuel starvation, so yes ideally you'll need a fuel tank from an injection vehicle (easiest option, imo).

but can it be done the opposite way, keep the original tank and run an external swirl pot??

Of course.

You'd need 2 fuel pumps,

a low capacity (say, a facet Red top) to supply the swirl pot. And then a proper one to feed the engine.

The engine would return to the swirl pot, and the swirl pot would return to the tank.

I suppose you could, but reckon it would be more hassle. The high power Cossie boys do similar to the above (usually in the spare wheel well).

Buy an XR3i tank. Cheap as chips from one of these pattern places.

Cheaper than a facet fuel pump, and sure as shit cheaper than a swirl pot.
