Poke matey, get yourself a nice kenwood or alpine amp.
Monoblock would be better but its usually the higher end amps that have that.
I nice 2 channel amp will be bridgeable to power that. Let me go see what I can find for you

Maybe its that no one actually knows the answer! Remember 90% of the people on this site know nothing more technical than how to put fuel in the tank. A post like how to change a core plug baffles the fuck out of them
anyhow, You dont need a 450W amp. Just get a mono 2-300W amp. Theres no need for stereo if your going to bridge it anyway

1. You wont need a cap in that mate.
A cap is like a mini battery and it stores power for when a big bass note drops in on multi amp/sub set-ups. So, with 1 10" sub, there's no need.
You need a cable with a thick enough gauge to run some heavly juice to the amp, otherwise it will just "clip out" all the time and blow fuses.
The sub is OK, personally, I wouldnt have bought it, but its OK. If you want a system to break windows, you need Rockford Fosgate
If you want me to help fit your system for you mate I will be happy to lend a hand.

Amping subs is like building engines. If you want a reliable 230bhp, why build an engine that will make 230bhp tops? Whats gonna happen? your gonna run it at 230bhp all the time, right on the limit of the engines capability. Build yourself an engine that will make 300bhp and run it at 230bhp it is not stressed and reliable as fuck.
Same with amps/speakers. If you got a 450w sub, don't bung it on a 450w amp, as the amp will alwys be struggling to deliver full power all the time. The amp will over heat, clip and generally distort. Bung your 450sub on a 500/550w amp tho, you can turn the gain down so as not to cook the sub and it (the sub) will recieve 450w all day long and the amp won't even break a sweat. ALWAYS over-amp htings and you'll never clip/blow a fuse/cain the amp again

Personally I don't like those Vibe subs (and they fooking HEAVY too) but they do pretty much require the wattage they ask for (unlike a lot that quote 500w and blow up if you give em more than 300
) So get yourself a Genesis mono-block (good for 600+w with no sweat
) or if you want simple and not really an amp/stereo bufty, a good MOSFET equipped 2ch amp (like Kenwood, Sony, Rockford etc) with 250w per ch (total = 500w) and jsut bridge it
I used to have a Kenwood PS300T amp. That was a fucking beat, well under-rated, just like rockfords.
Always over power, to keep the gain near halfway on the amp, less chance of distortion and less chance of popping the sub

so was it not worth 56 quid then ? id been told vibe were quite good thats why i went for it plus the fact i came in arseholed at 1.30 and saw that lol
well i spose itll do for a beginner dont wanna break windows just have things a bit louder
cheers pikie see you tommorw

Rockfords are very good for power, personally I am not massively keen on their soud - very "clinical" in my opinion, but then thats cos I am very picky with amps and speakers for years of playing live and front of house sound production. To 90% of peoples ears Rockford amp sound as good as any other

if the amp is to powerfull for the sub the sub will be very slopy !!! as there will be to much power
my bros useing a alpine mrd-m301 for to subs and the sound is unreal

u also need to think bout ohm how low do u want your bass !! if you dont just want all the low bass dont get any think under 2ohms !! u will find that a 500watts amp will be quite good for a 450watts sub as thats prob not at its max wattage !!
hope that helps
as for wireing kits brosusing a Q-DOS "competiton pro" qawk8 (suitable for amplifiers up to 1000watts)
hope thats a little bit of help

A 10" sub is never gonna set the ground alight, but will be nice and punchy. Set the crossover at lowpass to play 100hz and below, will sound sweet
