No I disagree there... I agree with the monoblock, but not the power ratings.

Amping subs is like building engines. If you want a reliable 230bhp, why build an engine that will make 230bhp tops? Whats gonna happen? your gonna run it at 230bhp all the time, right on the limit of the engines capability. Build yourself an engine that will make 300bhp and run it at 230bhp it is not stressed and reliable as fuck.

Same with amps/speakers. If you got a 450w sub, don't bung it on a 450w amp, as the amp will alwys be struggling to deliver full power all the time. The amp will over heat, clip and generally distort. Bung your 450sub on a 500/550w amp tho, you can turn the gain down so as not to cook the sub and it (the sub) will recieve 450w all day long and the amp won't even break a sweat. ALWAYS over-amp htings and you'll never clip/blow a fuse/cain the amp again

Personally I don't like those Vibe subs (and they fooking HEAVY too) but they do pretty much require the wattage they ask for (unlike a lot that quote 500w and blow up if you give em more than 300 ) So get yourself a Genesis mono-block (good for 600+w with no sweat ) or if you want simple and not really an amp/stereo bufty, a good MOSFET equipped 2ch amp (like Kenwood, Sony, Rockford etc) with 250w per ch (total = 500w) and jsut bridge it
