my mates actuator isnt holding anymore and he has decided to get a -31. the car is only running standard but he is thinking of chipping it so this seems the best idea.

but for the moment he only wants to run standard. his boost gauge is in bar. its a 90 spec escort turbo withta hearts and diamond ecu . what bar should he be running and does the -31 come preset to a amount . or is it a case of playing with it to get it right .

with the correct preset on it and NO bleed valve/amal it will hit about 7/8psi boost

you acheive the extra boost with a bleed valve/amal valve

 

they dont come preset no, max he can run on that ecu is 10psi (0.68 bar!)
i would just wind it as high as it will go before hitting the boost limiter then just turn it back a tad for hot days.

shorten the rod to increase boost

 

 

winding the fucker right in will shorten the life of the spring somewhat tho
