i've had an intermittent fault now for about 6 months... car wont start
and it was getting worse up until lately when it'll start only about 1% of the time!
basically it wouldnt crank when you turned the key.
anyway, after replacing just about every component used to start the car (starter, relays, switches, etc.) i figured i'd have a look myself today.
took about 10secs to diagnose the fault, the connector on the starter exciter wire was iffy and wasnt making a good contact.
took all of 10seconds to fix too
so, guess i learnt a good lesson today, try the SIMPLE things 1st before throwing money at new parts

nick, there was another reason for changing the starter, the old one was knackered.
altho that new one's now dead too, i put a conrod thru it
funny thing is, lennie said it was that connector months ago, but i didnt beleive him as it was FAR too simple
