My thermite experiment
Thought I'd have a bash at making some thermite for a laugh, 1st attempt was shit, proper gutted that it didnt work 
vids below;
Attempt 1 = bugger
Attempt 2 = more mixture, getting there
Attempt 3 = holy shit, light the blue touch paper and stand well back
The amount used in the last attempt was only 15g
imagine what 100g, 500g or 1kg would go up like
Bit gutted I didnt get to melt anything, although the intercooler in the second attempt got hole melted and filled in the same process
More attempts needed with bigger mixture, and a longer arm

If you get the mix right you could drop it on the bonnet of a car and it will burn right down through the bonnett, head, block, sump and into the tarmac. Fookin leathel shite altogether !

Mate at uni did it on a scrap car once too, it really does work that well, scarey that it can be so easily made by any old idiot at home (no offence to topic starter

Only thing I dont understand is the flower pot thing, I put one over the top of 15g to try and stop the sparks spreading, and it blew up.
Yet they put about 1kg in that plant pot on the 205 and it took it no probs

plus I was only using about 15g which is fuck all compared to how much your SUPPOSED to use by the looks of TF's post above, 5kg
