Default struggling to start from cold, ideas please (s2)

hello peeps im just wondering if anybody can shed some light on why my s2 erst really takes a while to start from cold, turns over ok.but once its warmed up a bit it starts on half a turn, ive already checked the cold start valve(unplugged it and tried starting it) and that dont seem to make any difference,so whats the next step???

Once its running, does it miss like its flooded while cranking, or does it run ok?

What does it do with the cold start valve connected?

SAFECHAV

yeah its fine wen its running and has been warmed up ok but for example if i leave it overnight and come out to start it up for work it takes a good 5 to 6 cranks to get it to start, but like i say when its warmed up half a turn and its fine.idles fine also just the initial start up thats the problem
exactly the same with the cold start valve either plugged in or unplugged

HTH

Ahhhh, so were only talking a few seconds to start it? Mine doesnt start first click cold, you might be losing fuel pressure over night.

I wouldnt worry about it unless its excessive starting times?

Mine probably takes about 4-5 seconds and misses the first couple of fires, starts first click everytime after that, until its been left for a day or more

(touch wood) mine has always (since I've owned it) started near enough as soon as the key is turned.
